Heat Pump - Air Source

Improve your home's comfort and energy efficiency with a high-efficiency air source heat pump. These systems provide both heating and cooling while using less energy than conventional HVAC equipment, helping reduce energy costs and maintain consistent indoor comfort year-round. This rebate is available for qualifying ENERGY STAR® certified air source electric heat pump installations.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Minimum eligibility 
    • Ductless: EnergyStar version 6.1 and/or – 7.8 HSPF2 (14.3 SEER2 is DOE minimum)
    • Ducted: ENERGY STAR® version 6.1, minimum standard 7.8 HSPF2
  • Incentive amount is the lower of stated rebate or 50% of equipment cost
  • AHRI certification and/or number required

INCENTIVE OVERVIEW:

  • $500 for systems equal to or less than 1.5 tons (18,000 BTUs)
  • $1,500 for systems greater than 1.5 tons (18,000 BTUs)
  • $500 bonus for ducted systems with propane back-up heat (propane heating system must be able to cover a minimum of 50% of home or building space [SF] down to 17 degrees F [outdoor temp.].
  • All air-to-water radiant systems: $500/ton

Rebate Eligibility Checklist

Before making your purchase, ensure your upgrade meets our standard qualification criteria:

  • Cooperative Membership: You must be an active member of High West Energy.
  • Service Location: The appliance or equipment must be installed in a property actively served by High West Energy.

  • Energy Star Certification: The equipment must be ENERGY STAR® certified or meet qualifying model guidelines. 

  • 90-Day Window: You must notify us and submit your rebate request form within 90 days of the purchase date.
  • Proof of Purchase & Installation: You must provide a clear copy of the original receipt and documentation showing the item's model number.
  • AHRI Certification: You must provide a copy of the AHRI Certification.
